“I was able to participate in a seven-hour meeting and saw every word that was spoken. I never missed a word! This was the most magnificent event that happened to me since I became late deafened. For the first time I felt like I belonged to the hearing world again. It was through my eyes that I was able to communicate with hearing people. You don’t have to feel like you are invisible because you can’t hear others when they speak to you.”
